Type: Full Time & Part-time

Salary Range: $43K – $87K

The Role

FT Labour hire is continuously looking for Web Developers for our clients and we currently have several positions available in NSW and VIC.

As Web Developers, you will be responsible for the design, layout and coding of a website. They are involved with the technical and graphical aspects of a website – how the site works and how it looks. They can also be involved with the maintenance and update of an existing site.

The Responsibilities will include:

• Write the programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software and graphics packages to meet business requirements
• Test the website and identify any technical problems
• Upload the site onto a server and register it with different search engines
• Establish the purpose of the website based upon its target audience
• Identify the type of content the site will host
• Determine any functionality that the site must support, for example, whether it will handle financial transactions or enquiries
• Give guidance on layout, colors and styles
• Write the programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software and graphics packages to meet business requirements
• Test the website and identify any technical problems
• Upload the site onto a server and register it with different search engines
• Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards
• Back up files from web sites to local directories for instant recovery in case of problems
• Respond to user email inquiries, or set up automated systems to send responses

Qualification & Experience

• Years of Experience: 2-3 years of relevant practical professional experience
• Education: At least a degree level of qualification

• Skills in software programming and graphics

• Work to tight deadlines
• Be aware of international web standards and protocols
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
